SIMterix-Simplis~5~ [Copy link]

When viewing the waveform, the automatic Full Zoom may not be able to see the desired result well. Use Edit axis to change the range.

Figure 1: Edit axis

Figure 2: Edit axis settings

In Simplies, command is also supported. The shortcut key is F11, which is used for both opening and closing.

Figure 3: .IC test Simplicity command usage

In Simterix, subcircuit can be used not only globally but also locally. For example, in the subcircuit of csa23 we used before, we defined the Gain as 66 times, but in this circuit we want to change its Gain to 20 times, then we can directly edit the Gain.

Figure 4: Editing the CSA23 model

It is actually quite troublesome to use Spice statements to describe it. It would be much simpler if you could directly use a circuit diagram to generate this thing.

Figure 5: Modifying the local model

When you modify the Local model, this modification will only take effect on the current csa23 and will not have any impact on other drawings you draw in the future.

In Simplis, SPICE statements are also supported to control circuits, as shown in Figure 6. For details on which variables can be controlled, see the following website.

https://simplis.com/documentation/simetrix/simulator_reference/topics/commandreference_dot_param.htm

Figure 6: Using .param to control resistance

Just change the value to be controlled to {x}. You can change the value of the resistor to {x} or V1. It is the same as LTspice's .param, but Simplis does not have a .step function to scan parameters.

That’s all for today, bye~

Hi, is this software free? Is it easy to use? Compared with ltspice, which one is more powerful? Are there big differences in the focus of the two software?

There is a free version, which is better than ltspice. It can automate the simulation of DVM and is more friendly to beginners. I like it. And you can play with Verilog and Verilog AMS. If simulation is one of your main jobs, I recommend you to try this. You can even build a mixed digital and analog chip yourself.  Details Published on 2024-2-21 16:32

This can even build a mixed digital and analog chip by itself
