Problem description:

1. Prerequisite: In addition to through holes, other blind or buried hole types have been added in the Drill Pair Manager.

2. Set the default via: Set the default via and the corresponding layer in TP--->default ---> Via. The settings are shown in the figure below:

3. Place vias through the palce via button in the toolbar above the interface (as shown below). It is found that the placed vias are consistent with the default vias set above, and the vias are through-hole type.

However, the problem is that if you use shortcut key 2 to punch holes (or set it to other shortcut keys, it's the same), the holes that are punched are L1-L2 holes instead of through holes, that is, they do not follow the default via settings. What is the reason? In actual design, it is definitely more efficient to use shortcut keys to punch holes.

Is this a bug in AD? Or is there a setting somewhere? I have been researching for a long time but still can't find a solution. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

"If you use shortcut key 2 to punch a hole (or set it to other shortcut keys, it will be the same)" is indeed a bug

It is recommended that you do not use 2 as a shortcut key for other purposes, because the numbers 2 and 3 are already used in the AD system.

The default shortcut key for placing vias in the AD system is PV

I have placed vias on a 4-layer board and no non-through holes appeared.

There are too many 2-layer boards, but I haven't found any.

Maybe there are few people who use AD to draw multilayer boards, and it is difficult to find this problem, so it is still considered a BUG.
