[Voice and vision module based on ESP32S3] Software development progress - using openmvIDE, I can finally transfer pictures, the speed is... [Copy link]

This week, I tested the camera OV2640 circuit several times in detail, and installed the camera module on the motherboard with trepidation. The first step was very good, power on and no burnout. I referred to the camera test code of the ESP32S3-eye board and it was very powerful to drive it, but I also encountered a few pitfalls, such as PSRAM needs to use 8-wire mode (OCT), otherwise it will report the problem of not finding the PSRAM ID.

Using the HelloWorld program that comes with OpenMV, you can transfer images to the preview window in the IDE, but the transmission frame rate is a bit low. In addition, there may be some problems with the peripheral power supply of the camera module, and the image has a lot of striped noise (to be optimized).

Camera modules now have protection functions, so they won't burn or smoke if connected incorrectly.

I guess there is no way to protect the components on the camera module. Does the protection you mentioned refer to the built-in function of the sensor?  Details Published on 2022-7-31 11:47

It is estimated that there is no way to protect the several components on the camera module.

Does the protection you mentioned refer to the sensor's built-in function?

Doesn't the demo that comes with the board have a camera? I saw @RCSN shared a real-time audio and video demo based on this board on his B site a while ago. It's very cool, like a video doorbell
