2022 Digi-Key Innovation Design Competition Unboxing

A while ago, I happened to see the registration for the Digi-Key Innovation Design Competition, and I took part in it with the mentality of giving it a try. Fortunately, I was selected in the first batch among a group of big names! !
Then I placed an order on the official website. It took more than ten days to ship from abroad, which was too long. But it suddenly arrived yesterday with the invoice, so I opened the box excitedly and recorded it first!!!
A large carton for express delivery, each component inside is packed in an anti-static bag and a box, plus a pair of foam cotton, the quality is guaranteed
First, I unboxed the STM32F103. Although I had a bunch of F103C8T6 minimum system boards, this one was easy to use. More importantly, this development board has an ST-LINK onboard, which can be used to program SPI FLASH chips. It can also be broken off, so it can be used for two purposes. It also has an Arduino UNO expansion port. With the soaring prices of ST chips, what else do you need?
The second is ESP32S3. All ESP products have soldered pin headers, which is a good thing. They are packed in a small box. The dual-port USB is used for downloading serial ports and the other is used for another UART serial port. In addition to having a larger ROM and SRAM than the entry-level model, more importantly, the legs are finally enough. The previous connection to a serial port screen plus a sensor is not enough. However, the ADC on the entry-level model was controversial before, and I hope this one will perform well.
The most important one is my favorite 430. In portable medical equipment, besides safety, the most important thing is low power consumption. TI's 430 series has always been famous for its low power consumption. I have to say that TI has the best manuals I have ever seen from all electronic manufacturers. Any development board or component manual is written in detail and in an orderly manner, and there is also a Chinese version. However, the LCD on this FR6989 is not the LCD display (TFT LCD) in our usual sense, but a segment LCD. It is still simple to display numbers or functions.
Just when I powered on and prepared to burn some programs to test, I got a surprise. Just like Arduino, the program was already burned in the factory:
Enter the welcome interface and press the button to switch to the timer mode:
This is really thoughtful, and the refresh rate is quite high, plus the low power consumption without backlight. Isn't this a good way to make use of this LCD?
I won't say any more. I have already eliminated my beloved 5529 and will move to 6989 immediately.
