Commonly used techniques in PCB design
In the current mainstream market, the most commonly used circuit diagram drawing and plate making software are AD and CADENCE. After drawing the schematic diagram and checking that it is compiled correctly, the PCB layout and routing stage begins. So how can you quickly draw a board? Let's take AD as an example.
- Layout according to the direction of the signal
A modular layout is adopted, devices with the same function are placed together and laid out according to the direction of the signal.
First click on the blank space in the status bar
Then click on vertical separation, so that the schematic and PCB can be displayed on the same page, just like in the picture .
Then you can easily find out what the corresponding device is. Then, when laying out the layout, first select a device with a certain function in the schematic diagram .
Then the corresponding devices in the PCB will also be highlighted.
The prerequisite for this function is to activate the cross probe function in the tool, otherwise even if the device in the schematic is selected, it will not be highlighted.
After scalaring, we can quickly drag it out and put it together according to the same function to facilitate subsequent wiring. For a small number of devices, we can drag them out one by one, but if there are many devices, we can use the functions in PCB . In PCB , click Tools to find Device Layout > Layout in Rectangular Area.
The method is as follows. First, select the device according to the previous method, and then click Tools > Device Layout>Arrange in the rectangular area in PCB . Then the cursor will become a cross. Then you can use the left mouse button to draw a rectangle, and then the device will miraculously appear in your rectangle.
Of course, in the layout, you can also set shortcut keys for quick operation. This function, combined with the device layout function, can make the PCB more neat and beautiful. After selecting the device, right-click the mouse. Select what you need.
