Commonly used speed control wiring methods in electric fans

The speed of electric fans is controlled by reducing the voltage applied to the motor windings and weakening the magnetic field strength to change the speed.
There are two commonly used speed regulation methods: one is the "reactor speed regulation method", which is to connect a reactor in series to reduce the speed, and the circuit is shown in the figure below (a); the other is the "tap speed regulation method", which is to use the speed control winding tap to change the volts per turn of the winding to adjust the speed, and the circuit is shown in the figure below (b).
