I just installed a win11 system today. When I downloaded the hex file into the microcontroller, there was no response and the microcontroller could not be detected. I thought there was something wrong with the microcontroller, so I changed the computer and it was able to download again. I suspected that it was a problem with the win11 port. I looked in the device manager and there was a com1 port. There was a sound prompt when the experimental board was plugged into the computer, but the program could not be downloaded.

OK, I checked the device manager and found that the CH340 serial port driver was missing. I downloaded the driver and installed it. Thank you.

Serial bridges such as CH340 must have drivers installed, and are not considered standard basic devices for Windows, so they cannot be used with just the operating system.

I don't know. I installed it directly in the C drive. I upgraded the system a long time ago, but I feel that the upgraded system runs much slower.
