Silicon Labs Development Kit Review + Development Board Arrives [Copy link]

 

I received the EFM32PG22 development kit yesterday. The development board is indeed very fine, with a length of 4.5cm and a width of 3.0cm. This board is a cost-effective, feature-rich, small prototyping and development platform based on the EFM32 microcontroller. The PG22 development kit is an ideal platform for developing energy-saving electronic devices. It uses a 32-bit ARM-Cortex-M33 core with a maximum operating frequency of up to 76.8MHz. The built-in SEGGER J-Link debugger ensures easy debugging via the USB Micro-B connector.

The development board is packaged in a small paper box with the Silicon Labs logo.

Then open the paper box, inside is our core development board, and there is also a data cable with a micro USB interface on the bottom of the box.

The development board is packed in an anti-static bag. Remove the seal and take out the development board. Here is a front view.

The board can be powered by USB or CR2032 button battery, which shows its low power consumption. There is a button battery holder on the back.

Combined with the Getting Started Reference Manual, the hardware layout of the development kit is as follows:

Connect the button battery to the development board and see

Power on the development board and see what the factory LED status is like. Once connected to the computer, the serial port number is automatically recognized and LED0 flashes yellow.
