Characteristics, functions and precautions of chopper
[Copy link]
1. Main features of choppers
The main features of choppers are as follows:
(1) There is a single brake chopper available for each power range, and no parallel connection is required;
(2) It can be used in places where the power grid changes greatly;
(3) It has short-circuit protection, and the inverter will not be damaged by a short circuit of the resistor;
(4) Special design allows the use of ordinary resistors, and there is no need to choose non-inductive resistors, which is cost-effective;
(5) Voltage automatic tracking, the user does not need to adjust the voltage setting, and it will not interfere with other equipment;
(6) Built-in cooling fan, higher utilization rate and longer life;
(7) The brake resistor can be selected from corrugated resistors, aluminum shell resistors, and power resistors. The resistance value can be customized according to the usage, and can also be equipped with corresponding resistor boxes or resistor cabinets.
2. Function of choppers
Choppers are widely used in industrial automation equipment, and are also used in sensitive electron tube voltmeters or bioelectronic instruments.
Another name for choppers is vibrator converters, and their working principle is similar to that of electric bells. They are relatively large in size and power, use eight-pin electron tube sockets, and are often used for DC/AC conversion. In the past, because they were all electronic tube devices, and the supply of power A and B in mobile devices was very difficult, the previous car radios and some car radio stations used a vibrator to convert the current provided by the battery in the car into alternating current, which was then stepped up by a transformer and synchronously converted by the vibrator into high-voltage direct current for use by the radio or radio station (radios with relatively high power also use car batteries to drive electric generators).
3. Precautions for the use of choppers The
following are matters that should be noted when using the chopper:
1. Cut off the power supply before wiring, and connect each wire as shown in the wiring diagram;
2. The controller should be installed in a ventilated, waterproof, and shockproof location;
3. The speed limit control plug of the controller should be placed in a place that is easy to operate;
4. The controller connector should be plugged in place, and it is forbidden to reverse the positive and negative poles of the controller power supply (that is, it is strictly forbidden to reverse the thick red and thick black; the thin red and thin black).
