DER-359 - 8 W non-isolated step-down, triac dimmable, power factor corrected LED driver using LYTSwitchTM-4 LYT4312E

Overview

This document is an engineering report describing the design of a non-isolated, step-down LED driver (power supply) using the LYT4312E, a LYTSwitch-4 series device. The DER-359 provides a single 8 W dimmable constant current output. The main design goal is to achieve high efficiency to increase luminous efficiency and reduce size. This allows the driver to fit into the BR30 lamp and be as close to the production design as possible.
