MSP430 MCU debug interface and JTAG emulator schematic diagram [Copy link]

Brief Introduction to SP430 MCU Debug Interface

The MSP430F1, F2, and F4 series products use a 4-wire JTAG interface, namely TMS (mode selection), TCK (JTAG clock signal), TDO (data output), and TDI (data input).

In the 4-wire JTAG interface, TI has defined a conventional 14-pin interface mode.
In the MSP430F2 series products, there are two JATG interface interfaces, one is the 4-wire JTAG mentioned above. The other is the debugging interface named "Spy Bi-Wire" in the MSP430F20xx series products. This interface mode adopts a 2-wire system. They are SBWTCK (clock) and SBWTDO (data line), plus GND and VCC pins. This interface only needs 4 leads. Currently, the emulator that supports the 2-wire interface is the TI eZSP430 USB interface emulator.
