Have you seen it? The heat sink symbol in the schematic diagram [Copy link]

This post was last edited by qwqwqw2088 on 2019-4-15 07:38 Sometimes in the circuit schematics downloaded from TI's official website, there are symbols like the following figure, annotated as HS_M1. Do you know what means? HS: Heatsink,, is a heat sink connected to GND. The purpose is to mark the heat sink at the M1 position to be grounded.

Design style, when packaging, the fixing holes of the heat sink need to be made into pins and connected in the schematic diagram. In this way, some process and assembly requirements can be seen from the principle. I guess it is more common in large companies with more detailed division of labor.  Details Published on 2019-4-15 16:08

This heat sink obviously cannot be connected to the drain of the power tube M1. It needs to be insulated from the power MOS tube M1, right?

The first floor didn't mention "the purpose is to mark the radiator at position M1 to be grounded."  Details Published on 2019-4-15 10:02

Thanks for sharing. There are indeed many such heat sinks in the schematic diagram provided by TI.
