C2000 ±0.1° Accurate Discrete Resolver Front-End Reference Design [Copy link]

The C2000 ±0.1° Accurate Discrete Resolver Design is an excitation amplifier and analog front end for resolver sensors. Discrete components and standard op amps are implemented on a printed circuit board (PCB) measuring just 1 square inch. The provided algorithm and code examples use the 2000 microcontroller (MCU) LaunchPad development kit with a TMS320F28069M MCU for signal processing and angle calculation. The reference design uses an innovative approach to scattered signal processing. This approach improves system accuracy by 250% while keeping hardware cost and complexity at a reasonable level. The TIDA-01527 is a low-cost companion design to the TIDA-00796 and TIDA-00363 reference designs. These designs are based on the PGA411-Q1 and provide advanced features such as protection and diagnostic features.
