The yellow part you see is the aluminum heat sink, and the resistor body is inside it. Since the resistor has a heat sink outside, it is obviously used in places where the power dissipation is quite large.

An aluminum heat sink is added outside. It should be a resistor with relatively high power. The heat sink is used when the heat is relatively large. In addition, ordinary resistors will not have heat sinks even if the heat dissipation is relatively large. The addition of heat sinks indicates that the temperature requirements are relatively high.

I have used this resistor before. There was a lithium battery charging and discharging maintenance cabinet product that used this resistor as a lithium battery discharge load. Or it can be used to test the output power of the switching power supply and aging experiments.
