The MAXREFDES37# IO-Link ® servo driver provides 5V power, four PWM outputs, and four digital inputs for controlling up to four 5V servo motors. IO-Link can replace pneumatic actuators and their compressed air lines in industrial applications. The addition of a level translator allows the digital input to be connected to a binary position or status sensor . The design creates new applications in the industrial field and creates new traditional pneumatic solutions.
The onboard standard 3-pin header allows quick connection to commonly used 5V servo motors. MAXREFDES37# comes with a HiTec HS-53 servo motor. Plug-in connectors allow easy connection of 5V digital input, power, ground, and operation of all four PWM channels. The reliable externally threaded M12-4 connector allows connection to any IO-Link compatible host. MAXREFDES37# uses TMG TE’s IO-Link device stack. Maxim Integrated recommends using the MAXREFDES79# IO-Link host with a graphical user interface (GUI) program to facilitate verification using a Windows ® PC.
