Overview

NXP metering technology enables single-, two- and three-phase electricity meters to measure and register active, reactive and apparent energy for residential and commercial metering applications. NXP and its smart meter connectivity solutions such as IEEE 802.15.4, ZigBee and Bluetooth Low Energy solve the challenges faced by smart cities in providing reliable, secure communications for remote meters and home energy management. As electricity consumption continues to increase worldwide, especially in the residential market, power companies require more accurate and cost-effective meter solutions.
