Experience the joy of direct drive steering wheel at low cost. This set of boards is a Riding isolation board, but it has been tested and successfully used on Delta AB1021 drive and 31309 motor.
This is the original circuit of the boss. There are several problems when using it:
1. Requires external 12V power supply
2. Use LM358 RC low-pass filter to convert PWM to analog. It feels slow and has interference.
3. The button IO is not completely led out, and the SPI expansion IO part is lacking, making it inconvenient to connect the gearbox and Hub.
4. The weighing amplifier seems to be ineffective, so we reuse the AD620 chip to amplify the 3-way weighing signal.
5. Replace the Type C interface, but it increases the difficulty of soldering (laughs
6. Hope to streamline wiring and reduce board size
To solve the above problems, the following solutions are adopted:
1. Directly use USB 5V power supply, isolate and boost 12V
2. Use GP8501 to realize dual-channel PWM conversion to analog
3. The nRF51822 Bluetooth chip spi expansion IO can be connected to the steering wheel hub panel and gearbox. It is wireless (QFN packaging and ceramic antennas could have been used to minimize the board size, but after all, you have to buy more crystal oscillators and other small things, and QFN is not good weld)
4. The weighing amplifier AD620 is in another project and has not been tested on a board (mainly because the stainless steel parts of the weighing pedal are too expensive)
5. Type C is indeed a little more difficult to solder.
6. I drew the adapter board based on the Delta driver. In another project, there is no need to solder the SCSI 50pin wire (good news for handicapped people).
To be continued. . . . . . .
There is no layout yet. If you are interested, you can take a look at the original version. It would be best if you can give me some suggestions.
