Industry 4.0 1 marks the fourth industrial revolution, which is characterized by distributed, intelligent control systems. Industry 4.0 gets rid of the bulky, centralized programmable logic controllers of the past, allowing factories to be highly configurable and modular, providing analog signal control for a large number of equipment, with higher output than before. Ultra-small size PLC , or micro PLC, is the core of the Industry 4.0 factory, providing high performance and extremely low power consumption in an extremely small size package. MAXREFDES60# is Maxim's miniature PLC analog output card.
MAXREFDES60# features a 16-bit, high-precision, 0V–10V analog output with power and data isolation. The MAXREFDES60# design integrates a low-noise, fast-stable buffer (MAX9632); a 16-bit, low-power DAC (MAX5216); an ultra-high-precision 4.096V voltage reference (MAX6126); 600V RMS data isolation (MAX14850); and STMicroelectronics ® STM32F4 microcontroller converter; FTDI USB-UART bridge; high-efficiency DC-DC converter (MAX17552); isolated/regulated +15V, +5.5V, and -3V power supplies (MAX17498C/MAX8719/MAX1659/MAX1735). The power consumption of the entire system is typically less than 250mW, making it suitable for use in a space the size of a credit card. When used in the field of industrial micro PLC, MAXREFDES60# can be used in any application that requires high-precision analog output.
