From the perspective of the main circuit, they all look like H-bridges. But in essence they can be divided into three types: AC->DC, DC->AC, and DC->DC. In a little more detail:
1. For the H-bridge of AC->DC topology, the most basic version is to directly use the diode rectification mode. If we want to control (reduce) the output voltage, we can control the output voltage through the duty cycle of the controller (of course, more complex control can be achieved after the closed loop)
2. For the H-bridge of DC->AC topology, the most basic meaning is to get an output that can change positive and negative at the output port of the H-bridge. On the basis of obtaining this output, a modulation method such as SPWM is used to make the output waveform close to the sine curve required to be output from the fundamental wave, thereby achieving transformation.
3. The H-bridge of DC->DC topology is similar to the H-bridge of AC->DC. It also controls the output voltage through a simple duty cycle. This situation happens to be very suitable for the speed regulation of DC motors, so there is a motor H-bridge drive.
above.
