According to foreign media 9to5mac, due to the hole design, Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro model may be equipped with a longer screen, and Apple is still considering adding satellite function to the iPhone.
9to5mac said that early rumors said that Apple will launch four new iPhones in 2022. The standard version of iPhone 14 (codenamed D27 and D28) will be available in 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch versions, and the 5.4-inch iPhone mini will be discontinued.
The standard iPhone 14 will have the same screen resolution as the current iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, but the screens of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max (codenamed D73 and D74) will be longer to accommodate the new pill-shaped hole-punch screen design.
In addition, sources confirmed that there will be two iPhone 14s based on the A15 chip, and the other two will be equipped with a brand new chip. It is worth noting that Apple has launched two different A15 chips, one of which has an additional GPU core and 6GB of RAM (equipped by the iPhone 13 Pro), and this year's standard iPhone 14 will also be upgraded to this chip, equipped with 6GB of memory.
There are also reports that Apple is still developing a satellite communication function for the iPhone, code-named "Stewie". It is not clear whether this feature will be officially launched on the iPhone 14.
