Samsung's long-standing "second half flagship" Galaxy Note may return at some point this year, although its biggest challenge may be finding a true niche for the new device in its product line. Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S21 FE, and now the company is preparing for another big launch, with the Galaxy S22 expected to see the light of day in the first week of February.
The Galaxy S22 is obviously a key product in Samsung's mobile strategy, but it turns out the company has several other exciting launches in the works.
Foldable devices currently play a crucial role in Samsung's long-term push, but at the same time, it looks like the Galaxy Note series may make a comeback this year.
Samsung skipped an update to the Galaxy Note last year, and while the company once confirmed it might bring the model back, it never provided further information.
Now, TechInsider has seen information about new Note models on Samsung's website, although right now these are just mentions of such a device.
The Note's signature feature is stylus support, but considering other Samsung devices already have that capability, including the Samsung Galaxy S Ultra and the company's foldable device, it'll be interesting to see how this model differentiates itself.
Judging from Samsung's previous Note releases, the new model could appear at some point in the summer, most likely in late August. If all goes according to plan, the device could eventually debut alongside the company's new foldable phone, although given that we're likely still several months away from that event, the details could change at any time.
