Supply chain sources said that in the first quarter of 2022, demand for Android phones from mainland Chinese suppliers began to pick up, and Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo and Honor all set ambitious shipment targets for 2022, providing great guarantees for the performance of MLCC, resistors, inductors and quartz component suppliers.
According to Electronic Times, the person said that after inventory adjustments in the previous few months, mainland China customers have resumed shipment momentum of passive components, although shipping logistics issues still exist and inventory levels among supply chain players are still uneven.
Quartz component maker TXC said its delivery cycles have been longer than the traditional average over the past year as customer orders have remained strong and they would rather increase component inventory levels than experience shortages. Mobile phone customers have been digesting inventory faster than expected since December and are preparing to increase shipments in the first quarter of 2022.
Resistor supplier Dayi Technology also said that after taking inventory at the end of the year, it expects its shipments to mainland China mobile phone manufacturers to increase significantly in the first quarter of 2022.
