Google Pixel 6/Pro has another bug: the screen auto-rotation function fails

     Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have not been launched for long, but a large number of bugs have been exposed. This series of phones has become Google's most buggy phones to date.

　　According to Android Police, the software of Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro seems to be buggy frequently, and the one that seems to be most affected is the automatic screen rotation function of the phone. This problem was not fixed in the December patch, and many users are still unable to get their phone screens to rotate automatically.

　　IT Home learned that the problem seems to stem from a communication failure between the physical sensors and software of the Pixel 6. Sometimes, the device seems unable to read the data provided by some of these sensors, namely the gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass. This was discovered by testing with the sensor test application, and it was found that the feedback from the sensors sometimes failed.

　　The gyroscope and accelerometer are responsible for detecting when to automatically flip the screen, and since the system can't read the data provided by these sensors, the device has no way of knowing whether the phone is held vertically or horizontally.

　　Pixel 6 and 6 Pro owners have also complained that their phones often fail to correctly display their directions on maps when using navigation apps like Google Maps. The tiny pointer either spins in all directions or points in a fixed wrong direction, making it harder to figure out where they should go.

　　So far, Google has not responded to messages regarding these ongoing sensor-related issues, but hopefully a patch will be rolled out soon to resolve these issues.
