It finally came out after much anticipation.
Today, Qualcomm China announced that it will hold the Snapdragon Technology Summit on December 1, when it will officially release the next-generation Snapdragon mobile platform.
At the same time, Qualcomm announced that Snapdragon will become an independent product brand and adopt a simplified and consistent new naming system to facilitate user selection. The naming system of the Snapdragon mobile platform will become a single digit plus a generation number, which is consistent with the naming principles of other categories of platforms.
According to previous reports, Qualcomm's new generation of mobile platform is expected to adopt the new naming of Snapdragon 8 Gen1, and will no longer use the three-digit rule of Snapdragon 898.
Qualcomm said that currently, there are more than 2 billion users of Snapdragon terminals worldwide. As the number of users and brand favorability continue to grow, Snapdragon will become the core of more and more terminals and inspire more people around the world to love it.
Therefore, the Snapdragon brand needs to further expand in breadth and depth, and while expanding its influence, it still maintains its original aspiration to be the first and bring a new image, new ideas and a new chapter to consumers.
The following is the official full text of Qualcomm:
Snapdragon has always been synonymous with top-level experience and leading performance. For more than a decade, terminals equipped with Snapdragon mobile platforms have brought users intelligent, immersive and intuitive mobile experiences with cutting-edge innovative technologies.
The Snapdragon platform integrates many industry-leading technologies to form a huge technology ecosystem that continuously drives new experiences. Over the years, as Snapdragon's business footprint continues to expand, the number of people who love and choose Snapdragon is also growing.
Currently, there are more than 2 billion users of Snapdragon devices worldwide*. The number of registered users of the Snapdragon Fan Community has exceeded 3.5 million. Here, Snapdragon fans and mobile technology enthusiasts can not only exchange ideas and opinions, but also have the opportunity to get the latest information and get exclusive experiences before others.
Leveraging its leading technology roadmap, Snapdragon is committed to providing users with an extraordinary experience, bringing best-in-class connectivity technology and leading terminal-side AI performance to more new terminal categories - from wearable devices to tablets, from XR glasses, PCs to cars.
Over the past few years, the Snapdragon brand has introduced new differentiated experiences, highlighting end-level mobile gaming performance through the Snapdragon Elite Gaming feature, and a new level of clear, high-resolution audio experience brought by Snapdragon Sound. We are excited to see the continuous innovation and development of Snapdragon's technology portfolio.
Looking ahead, the terminal categories, functions and experiences enabled by Snapdragon will continue to develop. It is time to further build Snapdragon into a leading cross-category technology brand and prepare for the future.
As the number of users and brand favorability continue to grow, Snapdragon will become the core of more and more terminals and inspire more people around the world to love it. Therefore, the Snapdragon brand needs to further expand in breadth and depth, while expanding its influence, still maintaining its original aspiration to be the first, and bringing consumers a new image, new creativity, and a new chapter.
Snapdragon Brand Renewal
Snapdragon has made bold changes in its brand vision - from the brand logo to the product logo.
In the future, Snapdragon will become an independent product brand and adopt a simplified and consistent new naming system to make it easier for users to choose Snapdragon-powered devices. The naming system of Snapdragon mobile platforms will become a single digit plus a generation number, which is consistent with the naming principles of other categories of platforms.
The name is simpler, the performance is stronger - the new naming system will start with the latest Snapdragon flagship mobile platform, and the gold logo will continue to be used for the top product series. Based on the above changes, the redesigned product logo is more concise, modern and intuitive.
Breaking through the boundaries of mobile technology and achieving top performance, the Snapdragon brand has opened a new chapter, advancing both technology and brand to provide consumers with an excellent experience that exceeds expectations.
Please stay tuned for the Snapdragon Technology Summit on December 1, Beijing time (November 30, Pacific time) to witness the evolution of the Snapdragon brand and the launch of the next-generation Snapdragon platform.
