On November 10, Tongyou Technology issued an announcement stating that the company participated in the bidding for a special industry customer's "XXX Storage Equipment Procurement Project" organized by AVIC International Economic and Trade Development Co., Ltd. Recently, the company received the "Notice of Winning Bid" issued by AVIC International Economic and Trade Development Co., Ltd., which confirmed that the company won the bid for the "XXX Storage Equipment Procurement Project" with a bid amount of RMB 109.2 million.
Tongyou Technology stated that the winning bid amount was RMB 109.2 million, accounting for 32.94% of the company's audited operating income in 2020. If the winning project is implemented smoothly in the future, it will have a positive impact on the company's operating performance in 2021 and in the future. At the same time, the winning products are all self-controlled storage devices, reflecting the advantages of the company's self-controlled products in special industries. Because the relevant information of the project involves state secrets, the company is exempted from disclosing the specific circumstances of the sales object in accordance with the relevant regulations on external information disclosure of military enterprises. This special industry customer has no relationship with the company, has good credit, and has the ability to perform.
According to the information, Tongyou Technology is mainly engaged in the research, development and application of technologies such as data storage, flash storage, and disaster recovery, and builds efficient, stable and reliable storage products and solutions for users in industries such as government, special industries, finance, energy, transportation, manufacturing, medical care and education. Among them, Tongyou Technology entered the flash solid-state storage business through the wholly-owned acquisition of Hon Qin Technology. Hon Qin Technology is one of the earliest professional storage manufacturers in China to enter the field of military solid-state storage, and has deep accumulation and core advantages in the equipment component level. 2021 is the third year since Tongyou Technology completed the acquisition of Hon Qin Technology. Hon Qin Technology continues to deepen its roots in the field of military solid-state storage. Benefiting from the strong demand for military orders, the scale of Hon Qin Technology's business has grown steadily.
In recent years, Tongyou Technology has continued to increase its R&D and industrial investment around the three strategic directions of "independent control, flash memory, and cloud computing", and has promoted the transformation of Tongyou Technology from project-driven to technology-driven to achieve sustainable development. Through the wholly-owned acquisition of Hongqin Technology and strategic investments in high-quality companies in the industry chain such as Yiheng Chuangyuan and Zeshi Technology, Tongyou Technology has successfully built a storage industry layout from chips to components to systems.
Benefiting from the strong demand for orders in special industries, Tongyou Technology has won bids for a series of key projects in special industries this year, further expanding the industry demonstration effect and laying a good foundation for subsequent market expansion. In the first half of this year, Tongyou Technology invested hundreds of millions of yuan in the Changsha High-tech Zone Storage Industrial Park, which covers an area of about 56 acres. The construction of the park and production operations are currently proceeding as planned. The completed storage industrial park will cover four major functions: software and hardware research and development, ecological adaptation, large-scale storage systems, SSD intelligent manufacturing, and storage industry incubation, accelerating Tongyou Technology's competitiveness in research and development, manufacturing, and ecological layout, and enabling Tongyou Technology to comprehensively lead similar manufacturers in the industry.
