On October 26, Leyard released its third-quarter performance announcement, stating that its total operating revenue in the first three quarters of 2021 was 5.834 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30.03%; its net profit attributable to shareholders was 521 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 65.09%; and its earnings per share was 0.20 yuan.
Among them, the third quarter achieved operating income of 2.233 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 40.74%. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 236 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 160.08%. The basic earnings per share was 0.0929 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 160.22%.
In terms of business, the revenue share of the smart display segment continued to remain at 78%, and the operating income of the four business segments increased during the reporting period compared with the same period last year. During the reporting period, the gross profit margin decreased by 2.02% compared with the same period last year, mainly due to the large decrease in the gross profit margin of the night tourism economy and new cultural tourism formats compared with the same period last year. Although the price of raw materials in the display industry increased significantly during the reporting period, the gross profit margin of Leyard's smart display business was not affected and remained basically unchanged.
With the improvement of the LED industry's prosperity and the increase in concentration after industry integration, Leyard's orders have grown steadily and rapidly since May. In 2021, new orders have exceeded 10 billion yuan, approaching the annual order target.
As of October 24, newly signed orders in 2021 increased by 42% over the same period last year and 14% over the same period in 2019; among them, domestic smart display orders increased by 68% over the same period last year, and international smart display orders increased by 42% over the same period last year. The domestic channels have taken the lead in completing the annual order target of 1.8 billion yuan, and NP company orders increased by 84% over the same period last year.
Regarding the production base in Hunan, its Hunan factory opened on July 29, and its production capacity is increasing month by month. The capacity in August is 500KK, the capacity in September is 1000KK, the capacity in October is about 3000KK, the capacity in November is expected to be 4000KK, and the capacity in December is expected to be 5000KK. It is planned to reach a production capacity of 6000KK from January 2022. Due to the epidemic, some equipment did not arrive at the factory as scheduled, which was 2-3 months later than the original plan to reach production at the end of October.
