Qualcomm announced that it will jointly launch a "Snapdragon Insider" phone with ASUS, equipped with the Snapdragon 888 SoC and many of the latest technologies of the Qualcomm platform. This phone is now available for pre-order on ASUS Mall in China, the United States and other markets. The price of the Chinese version is 9,999 yuan, and the price of the US version is 1,499 US dollars (about 9,698 yuan). The deposit for the Chinese version is 100 yuan, the balance is paid on August 28, and it is expected to be shipped on September 2.
The Snapdragon Insider phone is manufactured by ASUS, so its body design is similar to ASUS's own ROG gaming phone and ZenPhone - for example, the front of the body does not use a hole-punch screen, but a wide screen with upper and lower chins.
In terms of configuration, the Snapdragon Insider phone is equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2448×1080 and a refresh rate of 144Hz, covered with Corning Gorilla Victus glass. The back of the phone has a prominent Snapdragon logo and a fingerprint sensor (using Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2 technology). The whole phone weighs 210g and is 9.55mm thick.
In terms of camera, the Snapdragon Insider phone has a 24-megapixel front-facing selfie camera and a rear triple-camera setup including a 64-megapixel IMX686 main camera (with OIS support), a 12-megapixel IMX363 ultra-wide-angle camera, and an 8-megapixel 3x telephoto camera (with OIS support).
In terms of performance, the Snapdragon Insider phone is undoubtedly equipped with the Snapdragon 888 platform, supports 5G millimeter wave bands and WiFi 6E, and is equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5 memory and 512GB of UFS 3.1 flash memory.
In other aspects, the Snapdragon Insider phone has a built-in 4000mAh battery and supports QC5 fast charging up to 65W.
The Snapdragon Insider phone is sold as a set, which comes with a pair of true wireless noise-cancelling headphones from Master & Dynamic, a 65W QC5.0 fast charging charger, a USB-C 1-meter data cable, and a protective case.
It should be pointed out that Snapdragon Insider phones are built for fans of the Snapdragon fan community Insider. If a user wants to "recharge their faith", they need to join the Insider community first.
