On July 25, a press conference in Henan reported that Zhengzhou’s mobile communication network has fully returned to normal with the restart of 25,272 base stations.
According to preliminary statistics, the number of people evacuated for emergency evacuation in Henan is 814,900, and the number of people urgently relocated and resettled is 1,141,100; as of the 23rd, the affected farmland area in Henan Province reached 11.32 million mu, and the affected crop area was 10.68 million mu, accounting for 9% of the autumn crop area.
At present, Zhengzhou's communications have been fully restored, and more than 5,000 repair workers are still repairing damaged roads, bridges, and rural roads. As for power supply, as of the 24th, there were 1,194 communities without power in Zhengzhou, and a total of 473 communities with more than 200 households, of which 301 communities have been powered on, 41 communities are using temporary power, and 131 communities have not yet restored power.
Affected by the flood, electronic manufacturing factories in Zhengzhou, Henan Province were also greatly affected. The periphery of the main factory of Foxconn in Zhengzhou that produces smartphones was affected by the accumulation of water. Hon Hai Chairman Liu Yangwei said at the shareholders' meeting on the 23rd, "It seems that the heavy rain in Zhengzhou has little impact on this year's performance, and the outlook for the second half of the year is optimistic."
It is understood that Hon Hai has three factories in Zhengzhou, namely Zhengzhou Airport Economic Development Zone, Zhengzhou Economic Development Zone, and Zhongmu County. The Zhengzhou factory is a major center for assembling and manufacturing iPhones. According to Hon Hai's past order ratio, the Zhengzhou factory accounts for about half of the global iPhone production capacity. Foxconn said that the previous news of severe flooding was actually because the Zhongmu Park belongs to FIT's subsidiary, which mainly produces computer connectors.
