Vivo's first self-developed chip exposed: internal code name "Yueying"

Almost all global technology giants have their own chip research and development plans, including mobile phone manufacturers. Domestically, Huawei, Xiaomi, and OPPO all have corresponding chip plans.

Recently, according to domestic media reports, it was learned from the supply chain that vivo's first self-developed chip is about to be launched, with the internal code name "Yueying", but the functional details of the chip are still unclear.

It is reported that this chip of vivo should be an ISP chip, which is specially designed to improve the imaging capabilities of mobile phones, and it is expected to be the first to be equipped with it in its new X70 series.

In fact, as early as 2019, there were rumors that vivo was recruiting a large number of chip talents, and this chip code-named Yueying is the result, which symbolizes vivo's humanistic imaging technology.

For mobile phone manufacturers that focus on imaging capabilities, having self-developed ISP chips is essential. On the one hand, it is to improve technology, and on the other hand, it is to explore imaging capabilities.
