Spencer hints that Microsoft will integrate DualSense into Xbox controllers

      Xbox head Phil Spencer commented on the new features offered by the PS5 DualSense controller, saying they might implement this feature in future Xbox controllers. While Sony decided to ditch the old DualShock controller design in favor of the DualSense controller with features like adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, Microsoft has chosen the opposite direction and stuck with the default design and features of the existing Xbox controller.

　　In a "KindaFunny Gamecast" published via VGC, Phil Spencer mentioned the features Sony added to its DualSense controller and how Microsoft could incorporate it into future Xbox controllers.

　　"We do think about different types of devices that can be more conducive to the popularity and expansion of games. We may work more on the controller. I think Sony has done a good job in the controller, and we will consider it more and implement some solutions."

　　"But we're not doing custom peripheral stuff right now. We're just looking at what's happening with Windows and other platforms and seeing if there are any unique opportunities. But I don't think there's any good opportunity for us at this point."

　　Microsoft previously sent a survey to Xbox users, asking them if they would like to have DualSense functionality added to their Xbox controllers.

　　Microsoft also offers a high-end Xbox controller called the Elite Edition, which has been released for several generations. The Elite Edition has a higher retail price and has made great progress in terms of materials, accessories and design. It has been considered by many players to be one of the best game controllers on PC. Compared with traditional controllers, the Elite Edition controller has rich customization settings.
