On June 21, Nanjing held a launching ceremony for the Integrated Circuit Industry Intellectual Property Alliance and a patent navigation results release conference.
Integrated circuits are the industry with the highest concentration in Pukou District, the largest share in the city, and the fastest growth rate. It is also one of the industries with the greatest demand for intellectual property protection.
At the meeting, three universities in Nanjing, namely Nanjing University, East China University of Technology and Nanjing University of Science and Technology, and relevant initiators of six integrated circuit companies in Pukou District, namely Huatian Technology, Xinde Semiconductor and Kaiding Electronics, jointly issued an initiative for the intellectual property alliance.
Pukou released a message showing that the initiative to establish the Nanjing Integrated Circuit Industry Intellectual Property Alliance is a useful attempt to promote the coordinated use of industry intellectual property rights and risk defense in the form of an alliance. It is of great significance for building a technological innovation environment that is more conducive to the development of Nanjing's integrated circuit industry, creating a social atmosphere that respects and protects intellectual property rights, building an independent, safe and controllable industrial chain, and promoting the construction of a "famous city of innovation".
The alliance will use intellectual property as a bond and the collaborative use of patents as a basis to integrate the forces of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, scientific research institutes and intellectual property service agencies such as integrated circuit design, manufacturing, packaging, testing, and related equipment and materials, and play a role in promoting overall planning, operational cooperation, resource complementarity, brand cultivation, collaborative protection, and industrial upgrading.
