iOS 15 leak: Apple may consider adding food tracking function

With iOS 15 only a few weeks away from its release, it’s surprising how little we’ve heard about the new OS.

This week, a source named Connor Jewiss revealed some of the new features we might expect in ‌iOS 15‌.

Jewiss hinted that Apple plans to add a new food tracking feature to the Health app, but it's unclear how scalable this feature will be. It will likely allow users to log the food they consume, providing nutritional details and calorie tracking capabilities. It's unclear whether users will need to enter all the information manually or if Apple is working on some kind of food database.

The source says we can also see UI changes in accessibility screenshots for ‌iOS 15‌, showing off embedded cells and merged navigation bars, which were first highlighted by 9to5Mac.

Apple may also make some subtle dark mode adjustments to various color options, such as iMessage bubbles, and change the way notifications are grouped on the lock screen. Jewiss also pointed out that the Messages app has received unspecified adjustments and provided little additional information about these features.

Bloomberg also said in April that there would be notification updates that would allow users to set notification preferences based on their current state. As Bloomberg outlined, for example, users would be able to adjust how notifications are delivered when they are awake, working, sleeping, etc.
