According to Jiwei.com, after K40, K40 Pro and K40 Pro+, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition was officially released. It is equipped with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip and has 67W fast charging. It is known as a powerful mobile phone that can take into account both daily use and gaming.
Lu Weibing, partner, senior vice president, president of China and International Department, and general manager of Redmi brand of Xiaomi Group, said: "Consider professional gaming phones as a long-term strategy." He also believes that the existing gaming phones on the market have three major pain points. One is that the appearance design is fancy, the second is that the body is too thick and heavy, and the third is that the price is too expensive.
Redmi's entry into the market as a big manufacturer will change the status quo and solve the three major pain points of gaming phones through the technology of big manufacturers.
In terms of appearance design, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition adopts an RGB e-sports style design, with three colors: Shadow, Silver Wing, and Light Blade. It is only 8.3mm thick and weighs 205 grams. For games, the K40 Game Enhanced Edition is designed with a ring-shaped breathing light in the camera part, which not only livens up the atmosphere when playing games, but also has different lighting effects in scenes such as charging and notification messages.
In terms of screen, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition uses a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2400x1080, supports DCI-P3 color gamut and HDR10+, and supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz. In order to take into account both the game screen and the feel, the K40 Game Enhanced Edition uses a straight screen + COP package with a chin of only 2.7mm.
In terms of core hardware, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition is the first to launch the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor, which uses a 6nm EUV process, has a 3.0GHz A78 super core, and uses a Mali-G77 GPU. It is reported that this time the Dimensity 1200 stable version is used, which was jointly tuned by Redmi and MediaTek for 4 months. It is not only more stable, but also the first independent GPU driver upgrade for the Dimensity platform.
In terms of heat dissipation, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition adopts a three-dimensional heat dissipation system. Graphite, VC heat sink and aerospace-grade heat dissipation materials can provide strong heat dissipation for key areas such as processors, charging chips and screens. In terms of battery, the configuration of the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition has reached the level of flagship phones, with a battery capacity of up to 5065mAh and support for 67W super fast charging, which can fully charge the battery in 42 minutes. In terms of photography, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition has a 16-megapixel front selfie camera and a 64-megapixel rear triple camera.
In terms of price, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition 6+128GB version is 1,999 yuan, the 8+128GB version is 2,199 yuan, the 8+256GB version is 2,399 yuan, the 12+128GB version is 2,399 yuan, and the 12+256GB version is 2,699 yuan.
