Although the GTC Developer Conference has nothing to do with gaming cards, it allows us to get a glimpse into NVIDIA's cutting-edge technology plans. In fact, it is also a leader in consumer products.

Today, NVIDIA announced its own ARM architecture processor "Grace", which is aimed at ultra-large-scale AI and HPC. It will be launched in 2023 and will be paired with its next-generation GPU.

In the roadmap, NVIDIA not only made it clear that the next-generation product after Grace will follow in 2025, but also the evolution of the GPU architecture - Ampere in 2020, the next generation in 2022, and the next generation in 2024, insisting on one generation every two years, with a transition (ya) in between.

This also directly proves that there will be no RTX 40 series this year. At most, it will be an upgraded version of the RTX 30 series, or the RTX 30 series will be completed but not upgraded.

After all, the Turing architecture uses two of them, and now the entire graphics card industry is swept up by mining, and NVIDIA has also invested a lot of energy. Even if the game card is upgraded, it is out of stock...

It is worth mentioning that it was previously rumored that NVIDIA's next-generation GPU architecture was code-named Grace Hopper, but it turned out that it corresponds to the NVIDIA CPU processor. NVIDIA did not clearly give the code names for the next two generations of GPU architectures, only marking them as Ampere Next and Ampere Next Next.
