SMIC responded to the price increase after April 1st

SMIC recently responded to the news of "all-line price increases after April 1, including orders that have been placed but not yet put online" on an interactive platform, saying that the company has always attached great importance to customer relationships and maintained long-term cooperation with customers and other partners in the industry chain. The integrated circuit industry has its own fluctuation cycle, and the company will make corresponding price adjustments based on changes in the supply and demand relationship in the industry and after good communication with customers.

Industry insiders told Jiwei.com on April 1 that SMIC, the leading domestic wafer foundry, informed its customers via email that prices will be raised across the board starting April 1. Orders that have already been placed will maintain their original prices, while orders that have been placed but not yet placed will be charged the new prices regardless of order time and payment ratio.

Another industry chain insider pointed out that SMIC had actually started to raise prices in March this year, and the price increase range varied from customer to customer, and the increase in 8-inch and 12-inch orders was different. Overall, this round of price increases was about 15% to 30%.
