Solutions to counteract noise issues in Wi-Fi-equipped devices [Copy link]

Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) is increasingly being installed on a variety of devices, such as mobile devices and printers. However, if the Wi-Fi communication bandwidth and noise in the same frequency band exist in the device at the same time, the Wi-Fi communication characteristics will deteriorate.
In addition, the influence of weak noise in the device itself cannot be ignored, and more demanding noise suppression measures are required.

  There are various conduction paths.

In this case, there was a problem with the high frequency wave of CLK (50MHz) transmitted to the Wi-Fi module, and the FPC connecting the motherboard and the Wi-Fi module had acted as a noise radiation source. By replacing the damping resistor with our noise filter, the coupling noise of the Wi-Fi antenna was reduced by about 15dB, and the Wi-Fi reception sensitivity was improved by 5dB.
