OnePlus and OPPO's R&D departments merged, software features remain unchanged for now

       DoNews has exclusively learned that the R&D departments of OnePlus and OPPO have been merged, and offers for new employees in R&D positions are all issued by OPPO, not OnePlus.

　　In this regard, an OPPO insider told DoNews that the R&D departments of the two companies had basically merged as early as December and are now affiliated with the entire Ouga Group. R&D is no longer carried out separately, but the original characteristics are still maintained in the software for the time being. "It is similar to the relationship between Xiaomi and Redmi, just sharing a R&D system."

　　As early as June last year, there were rumors that the R&D departments of OPPO and OnePlus would merge. Now the dust has finally settled. For OnePlus, the integration of the R&D department into OPPO is not a bad thing. It means that the two relatively independent brands, OPPO and OnePlus, will be more closely connected.

　　At present, OPPO Mall, a subsidiary of OPPO, has also completed the merger and changed its name to HuanTian Mall. Its products include mobile phones and peripheral products of the three major brands OPPO, OnePlus and realme.
