The latest information about the Redmi K40 series comes from Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing. He shared a post on Weibo, revealing some key features of the upcoming flagship smartphone.
According to him, the Redmi K40 series will be officially released in February. Since the teaser says "series", we expect at least two devices to arrive.
Although the executive mentioned the Snapdragon 888, the chip should be mainly exclusive to the Pro version, and he also confirmed that the Snapdragon 888 model will be priced at 2,999 yuan. The Redmi K40 Pro may become the cheapest Snapdragon 888 phone for a while, just like its predecessor.
In addition, the brand's executives also revealed that the device could be equipped with the "most expensive straight screen" and a battery of more than 4,000 mAh. Since expensive panels are usually associated with AMOLED screens, it can be expected that at least the Pro version will be equipped with this type of screen.
