According to information from Jiaxing Science and Technology City, the first phase of the civil engineering and exterior glass curtain wall of the project to produce 12 million 300mm large silicon wafers annually has been completed, and the internal mechanical and electrical installation and decoration work is underway. Trial production will begin early next year.

According to reports, the total planned investment in the Zhongjing large silicon wafer project is 11 billion yuan, of which 6 billion yuan will be invested in the first phase, and fixed asset investment will exceed 5.6 billion yuan. The land area is 139 acres, and it is planned to build a 12-inch single crystal silicon wafer production line.

The project covers a total land area of ​​221 mu and has a total construction area of ​​115,000 square meters. It will build new crystal pulling plants, polishing and grinding plants, and comprehensive buildings, and purchase production and testing equipment such as silicon wafer crystal testing and analysis, crystal pulling furnaces, cutting, polishing, and cleaning.

On January 19, 2019, the People's Government of Nanhu District, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, signed an investment agreement and a targeted fund agreement with Shanghai Kangfeng Investment Management Co., Ltd., and a project to produce 4.8 million 12-inch large silicon wafers annually was settled in Jiaxing Science and Technology City.

On February 28, 2019, the Zhongjing (Jiaxing) Semiconductor Large Silicon Wafer Production Base Construction Project was officially launched. According to Zhejiang News at the time, after the first phase of the project reaches full production, it will have an annual production capacity of 4.8 million 12-inch silicon wafers, and after the overall production reaches full production, it will have an annual production capacity of 12 million wafers, with an annual output value of more than 10 billion yuan and tax revenue of more than 1 billion yuan.
