       AR has always been a technological field that hardware manufacturers have been constantly tackling. At this year's OPPO Future Technology Conference, OPPO also announced a new generation of AR concept glasses and an auxiliary ecosystem CyberReal AR application.

  OPPO first began investing in AR research in 2014 and debuted its AR glasses products at the Future Technology Conference in 2019. It is equipped with oF, SLAM algorithm, diffraction optical waveguide technology, and supports gesture and voice recognition technologies. It is OPPO's first concept hardware for exploring AR.


  Two years later, OPPO announced the second-generation OPPO AR Glass 2021, which has made complementary improvements in wearing experience, optical solutions, interaction methods, and content ecology.


  In terms of appearance, OPPO AR Glass 2021 adopts a split design, which is 75% lighter than the previous generation, making it convenient to wear for a long time. The picture calculation mainly relies on the mobile phone calculation with C to C wired connection. The Find X2 Pro used in the demonstration is equipped with a Snapdragon 865 processor, which improves the core and graphics performance by 40%. It uses the core calculation of the mobile phone and avoids complex structure, which can also prevent it from being eliminated prematurely in commercial use to a certain extent.


  In terms of the more important visual effects of AR devices, OPPO AR Glass 2021 is equipped with the industry's mainstream Birdbath optical solution, using two 0.71-inch OLED panels to refract to the human eye, creating the perception of seeing a 90-inch giant screen 3 meters away. The contrast of this optical system is increased by 53% compared to the previous generation, and the number of pixels is also increased by 40%.


  In terms of interaction, OPPO AR Glass 2021 can rely on the binocular fisheye camera to achieve millisecond-level detection and tracking, identify and mark 21 key points of a single hand, and detect hand movements to perform gesture interactions such as tapping menus, pushing and zooming objects. In conjunction with an independent ToF camera and IMU, it can achieve three-dimensional spatial positioning, and ultimately realize application scenarios such as AR watching movies, AR multiplayer games, AR home, and AR shooting.


        In addition, OPPO has also developed its own AI assistant Breeno for AR voice interaction, and launched an AR developer program and a mobile AR application "OPPO CybeReal" based on full-time spatial computing to help developers and users build a complete AR experience plan.
