Recently, BOE launched the world's first 55-inch 4K AMQLED display.
At present, the application of quantum dot technology in display products mainly includes photoluminescent quantum dot backlight technology and active electroluminescent quantum dot diode technology (AMQLED). Unlike photoluminescent quantum dot backlight technology, AMQLED display does not require a backlight source, and injecting current can make quantum dots emit light. It has the advantages of self-luminescence, wide color gamut, and long life, and has become the development direction of quantum dot display. Among them, the research and development of large-size quantum dot printing technology and products is a key breakthrough point and has attracted much attention from the industry.
Through technological innovation, BOE has made a series of progress in key technical problems such as uniformity and stability of large-size quantum dot printing. The 55-inch 4K AMQLED display product launched by BOE uses electroluminescent quantum dot technology, with a resolution of 3840×2160, a color gamut of up to 119% NTSC, and a contrast ratio of up to 1000000:1.
In the field of AMQLED, BOE's electroluminescent quantum dot technology is at the leading level. As early as 2017, BOE launched 5-inch and 14-inch AMQLED product prototypes using a full inkjet printing process, and won the Society for Information Display (SID) Best in Show Award.
