We know that mobile phones equipped with Snapdragon 865 processors can upgrade the GPU driver independently. Previously, Xiaomi 10 and 10 Pro have undergone GPU upgrades. According to netizens, iQOO 3 and iQOO 5 equipped with Snapdragon 865 processors also support independent GPU driver upgrades.
It is reported that iQOO 3 and iQOO 5 users can now download GPU driver upgrades in the App Store. Independent upgrades of the GPU driver can enable games or applications to adapt to the latest GPU driver, enhance game performance and stability, and improve gaming experience with new version features.
According to iQOO product manager Ge Lan V, independent GPU driver upgrades are only supported starting from Snapdragon 865, but not Snapdragon 855.
IT Home learned that in December last year, Qualcomm announced that it would be the first to open GPU driver updates, and announced that the Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 765 series will receive public GPU driver updates later.
