Multiple reports claim that Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S21 series in January. News in July revealed that the series includes three models: Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra. SM-G991, SM-G996 and SM-G998 correspond to the model numbers of the three devices.
Today, the Galaxy S21 Ultra received NFC certification. This certification seems to be another hint that the Galaxy S21 series will be unveiled in early January next year.
There is no information about the Galaxy S21 Ultra specifications in the NFC information except the model number SM-G998U. A battery with model number EB-BG998ABY passed the TUV Rheinland certification platform in September. It was revealed that the S21 Ultra will be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery.
Recent reports have also revealed a lot of important information about the S21 Ultra's specifications. The phone is expected to feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a hole-punch design and curved edges. The screen will offer a 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rate.
Depending on the region, the S21 Ultra will be equipped with a Snapdragon 875 or Exynos 2100 chip. The smartphone is expected to be equipped with a 108-megapixel quad-camera. It may come with 60W or 66W fast charging support.
