Samsung's smartphone market share in India surpasses Xiaomi and regains the top spot after 2 years

On October 29, Counterpoint Research released an analysis report on the Indian smartphone market in Q3 2020. Samsung ranked first with a market share of 24%, finally winning the championship again after two years.

The analysis report stated that Samsung ranked first with a market share of 24%, followed by Xiaomi with a market share of 23%, and vivo, realme, and OPPO were in the top five. This is the first time that Samsung has topped the Indian smartphone market in two years, and this is the first time that Xiaomi has not won the Indian smartphone market since the end of 2018. However, in the analysis report of another research institution Canalys, Xiaomi still ranked first with a market share of 26.1%.

Foxconn, Samsung and two Indian local companies have been approved to participate in the plan.
