Recently, realme released a 4K TV with a SLED screen overseas. It is reported that this is the world's first product to use a SLED screen. Officials say its display effect is better than screens using quantum dot technology. This TV has a 108% NTSC color gamut, can display richer colors, and is blue light proof.

It is reported that the SLED screen uses a new backlight solution. Conventional LCD monitors use white backlight, which is then passed through an RGB filter to present more colors. The SLED panel uses RGB three-color backlight, which is then passed through a polarizer design. It can be said that the SLED panel still belongs to the category of LCD panels, but the color performance is better.
It should be noted that Realme has only announced this new technology overseas, and TVs equipped with SLED panels are not yet ready for sale.

Realme officially stated that SLED is a better technology than QLED quantum dot technology, and it will also release products equipped with SLED panels in the future. Currently, companies such as Samsung and OnePlus have launched quantum dot TVs in the Indian market. In comparison, Realme's SLED TV is likely to become a more competitive product.
