Sugar Glider ⑤ Sugar Glider Health Monitoring System Based on RSL10--Project Introduction [Copy link]

Project Background

Sugar gliders are an Australian marsupial. They have a furry coat, thin, pointed ears, big, round eyes, a light and petite body, a cute appearance, and they like to be close to people. Therefore, they have become one of the " Internet celebrity animals " in recent years .

emm , so my family also raised one, it is really cute. Because it was only one month old when I first received it, small and soft, I named it "Little Jelly". The following is what it looks like when it is one month old.

The little jelly is a nocturnal animal. It will sleep quietly in its furry pocket during the day. It can be easily brought anywhere.

But at night, everything around becomes its paradise. It will jump around in your house, from the table to the curtains, from the curtains to the cabinets, from the cabinets to your face, and sometimes it will use its little mouth to comb your hair while you are sleeping...

The picture below shows what it looked like on the wardrobe when I was woken up at night.

Since we all have to go out to work during the day, we put it in our bag all day long, and it sleeps very obediently in it. We can only play with it when we get home at night.

But he has to go to bed at around 12 o'clock at the latest. In order for him to have enough fun and not disturb our rest, I bought him a smaller "paradise" - a big birdcage.

There are a lot of furry cotton ropes and plush cloth bags inside, so you can let it play in there and it won’t crawl on your head in the middle of the night.

It is also equipped with a "Ferris wheel" - a hamster wheel, so that it can run and fly freely in the small park, ensuring the normal amount of activity every day.

Since my home is in the north, it was winter when I signed up for the competition. Although I had heating at home, the unscrupulous community would reduce the heating level at night, causing the temperature in the house to drop from 22 degrees during the day to around 19 degrees. The suitable survival temperature for Xiaomi is 27 degrees, which is far from enough. Therefore, I bought a heating blanket and placed it around the Xiaomi Paradise to keep it warm.

Back to the competition project, combined with the information of RSL10, I thought about it for a long time. Starting from the characteristics of Bluetooth and low power consumption, what generally comes to mind is smart home, smart wearable devices, mesh networking indoor positioning and so on. I believe that many people will think in this direction.

So I designed a sugar glider health monitoring system based on my little Jelly, built with RSL10. I wanted to rely on this system to monitor and manage its exercise and diet so that it can grow up healthily.

But who would have thought that the epidemic would affect the progress of the competition, and it was delayed for half a year, from winter to summer, and my little jelly has grown up...

Project Goals

The main architecture diagram of the sugar glider health monitoring system project is as follows:

The functional ideas are as follows:

1. Sports health monitoring: Install the RSL10 sensor development kit on the Ferris wheel, collect light data through the light meter, collect temperature information through the air quality sensor, monitor the rotation speed data of Xiaomi running on the Ferris wheel through the angular velocity meter, record the data for one night, and store it on the sensor board.

2. Sports and health data analysis: Since Xiao Mi is active at night, when we are all asleep, if you want to know whether it has fun all night, you can connect the RSL10 sensor board through the mobile phone host computer to receive the summary data, form a data table, and record Xiao Mi's daily exercise volume~

3. Healthy exercise reward mechanism: Combine the exercise data in 1 to analyze whether Xiao Mi has reached the exercise standard. If it does, the RSL10 wireless SoC evaluation board is used to control the feeding reward device and give Xiao Mi a favorite corn worm as a reward.

4. Intelligent temperature control: Place the RSL10 temperature sensor beacon in the park to sense the ambient temperature, transmit the temperature to the RSL10 wireless SoC evaluation board master control, and control the heating of the electric blanket through PWM or IO to maintain a suitable temperature (since it is summer now, temperature control is not necessary. If you have no relays, save it for autumn)

The design is warm and nice. I want to raise one after seeing it, but it takes a lot of effort.   Details Published on 2021-7-2 10:32

The creativity is very interesting

It is more practical to sense the ambient temperature and transmit the temperature to the RSL10 wireless SoC evaluation board master control.
