Mate 40/40 Pro are two high-end models that Huawei is about to launch, and there will definitely be new breakthroughs in the camera. Before the release of this series of flagships, Huawei has submitted a mobile phone design patent to the National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), which has four cameras on the back of the body and adopts an under-screen camera solution.
The trademark was submitted to the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) in October 2019 and was published on September 18, 2020. The patent contains 24 design sketches. The front of the fuselage looks very modern, with a full-screen design with ultra-narrow bezels and rounded corners. There is no front camera, so it is speculated that it should be an under-screen camera.
The patent image shows three different designs, located in the upper left corner, middle and upper right corner. However, the camera layout is the same, with four cameras arranged in a cross around an LED flash, and the camera lens at the bottom adopts a square design, indicating that this is a periscope zoom camera. The other three camera lenses are the same size.
There are no buttons to be seen on the left side of the device. The volume rocker and power button are located on the right side. The bottom provides access to the USB Type-C port, where the speaker and microphone can also be seen. The top also provides a microphone and... yes... a 3.5mm headphone jack.
