The Apple Watch Series 6 was announced yesterday, bringing with it a host of much-needed new improvements.
The Apple Watch Series 6 does include a lot of hardware upgrades. But one detail that was missed is that the Apple Watch Series 6 also supports 5GHz Wi-Fi.
Upgrades like these don't usually go unnoticed, but upgrading to the newer 5GHz Wi-Fi is certainly a good thing. Previous models only supported 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. 5GHz Wi-Fi has better, more stable connectivity, faster data rates, and provides a better overall experience.
Maintaining a stable connection is especially important for Apple Watch, which relies on iPhone, because fewer disconnections provide a smoother and more seamless experience.
It’s important to note that the Apple Watch Series 6 is the only model to get this better Wi-Fi support, as the Apple Watch SE that was released alongside it only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
Apple Watch S6 will be available for order starting today and will go on sale on September 20, starting at RMB 3,199.
