According to a Forbes report last August, Apple plans to provide security researchers with special development versions of the iPhone that can do much more than regular iPhones and allow researchers to view code-level scenarios when attacking iOS code.

Apple is now accepting applications for the security research device, providing researchers with a one-year device use period. To apply for the program, relevant personnel only need to join Apple's developer program and demonstrate their ability and achievements in discovering security issues in Apple devices. However, the problems found on the device must be submitted to Apple.
