On July 19, according to past practice, Huawei will release the Huawei Mate 40 series flagship in the second half of this year. Although there are still a few months away from the launch conference, there have been a lot of leaks about it.
Recently, whistleblower RODENT950 revealed that due to the US ban, Huawei Mate 40 may adopt a dual-processor solution similar to Samsung. The domestic version will be equipped with Kirin 1020, while the overseas version may use Qualcomm or Samsung processors.
The whistleblower said that the shipment volume of Huawei Mate 40 series is expected to be in the tens of millions, but because Huawei semiconductors are subject to US sanctions this year, TSMC may provide about 8 million Kirin 1020 chips, which is far from enough for Huawei Mate 40 series mobile phones.
In fact, mobile phone manufacturers have long used dual processors in their phones. Samsung Galaxy S/Note has been doing this for many years and has achieved good results in the global market. However, mixing processors requires a lot of debugging to ensure the consistency of experience as much as possible.
It has been reported that Huawei's Mate 40 series is stepping up manufacturing and key debugging in the near future. The new phone will have unique features in many aspects including product performance, 5G capabilities, system optimization, ID design, etc.
At the same time, some foreign media analyzed that if Huawei Mate 40 is the beginning, then the Huawei P50 series in the first half of next year will continue to adopt a similar approach.
In addition, RODENT950 also revealed that Huawei Mate 40 and Huawei Mate 40 Pro both adopt a dual-curved screen design, which is also the first time in the history of Mate.
As usual, Huawei's Mate 40 series of mobile phones will be launched after Apple's fall conference. Which phone are you more looking forward to?
